Today we had a workshop to help us with our interviews that will inevitably be doing for our Documentary unit.
It was interesting to see how to properly frame up a shot, as well as how to get the audio right. We had some problems with our clip mic where it was picking up a lot of interference but after we talked with Ferg we got it sorted. It was interesting to finally use the clip mic and the quality was surprisingly good but we should always use the boom as a backup.It was a great workshop in which a lot of lessons were learnt and will be applied when we get round to making our project. Talking to Sam, he seemed to recommend using the XDCam for this unit as the focusing is a lot more reliable. We have not yet decided what we are going to use but it is most probable that we will use XDCAM.
